Pico de Papegaio  - Hike I had doubts to make this hike - I didn't know at all whether I would be able to finish it in time (before ferry departure) ...  In the end :  - I made it only in 5,5h (ida e volta) -  I will now only go by ferry + direct car transfer to RJ tomorrow Anyway , Pico de Papegaio is called after it's 'Parrot' - shape ! It has altitude of 995 m and on the summit U can encounter bolds to do abseiling (I didn't do this ...- unfortenately ! ). I started 8.30h with the hike, reached the summit at 11.20h after discovering many crazy mammals and birds ... I was really happy, wet and sweaty when I reached the top. During the trail many nice cliffs can be encountered, serving as a shelter. Monkeys ( at least some in middle-left in the trees) Kolibris -(hard to photograph !!!) Many birds - thermalling on the top of Pico the Papegaio - Adorable views at almost 1000 m ...

Boat and snorkel trip - Ilhas Paradisicos And again, despite the rain conditions; the water was still full of life ! Praia da piedade - loads of wildlife. Ancient rich people have built a 'POUSADA' here. Turtles;  A short movie ... Pictures . Trunkfish I also started to freedive more intensively. With my local equipment I can reach about 8,5 m( Jezus, where is my 10 m record ?)

The Island - Atmosphere  The Island has an incredible natural environment: only dirt roads, boats, bikes, snorkel, hangglide, hike and dive agencies.. Loads of Argentinians, French and Uruguayans and small amounts (YESS !!!) of Europeans like drunk and foolish British... (Where are the U.S.A.'s ?) No cars, loud pubs, motordrivers, ... Some pictures below represent the atmosphere.

Trip to Lagoa Verde & Azul, Japariz and Feiticeira Praia UW - photography in this trip was endless ... I made funny videos ... is it a trunkfish ? Then I made a collection of encountered species ( WooHoo):  Some lovely creatures ... my friend's the tartarugas. No idea about this species ... if somebody can help me to identify it ? One particular exceptional one - not a fish species - can anybody tell me what it is ?

Diversity of FLora and Fauna Inland There are all kind of creatures (fauna) its an endless discovery:  - Monkeys  Crocodiles Armadillo ( First time in my life !!!!!!!!)  Birds  Butterflies  Then we have an endless flora : I'm not an expert but I'll look u the species later ;-)
